Dr. Joyce Aycock is a plastic surgeon practicing in Denver since 2008. She is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is known for her honesty and integrity, selected by her peers to serve on the Ethics Committee of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
She is originally from upstate New York and graduated from Yale University with honors in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. She received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and then did a highly competitive combined six-year residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Chicago. She was then recruited to the faculty at the University of Colorado where she was one of the first plastic surgeons in Colorado to offer cutting edge DIEP flap microsurgical breast reconstruction.
Dr. Aycock practiced for over a decade in academic plastic surgery where she was the program director of the University of Colorado plastic surgery residency training program. She has traveled nationally and internationally to learn the latest cosmetic and reconstructive techniques for her patients. She has published many articles and book chapters on plastic surgery and has been a presenter and educator to other plastic surgeons at meetings throughout the country. She is also committed to volunteer work and has served as a mentor and surgeon educator for many years with Mission: Restore, teaching plastic surgeons throughout East Africa and beyond. Dr. Aycock started her own practice in 2018 to be able to care for each patient in a way that is authentic to her commitment to the practice of medicine and plastic surgery.
Although Dr. Aycock has many achievements, her most important goal is to have a happy patient with a great outcome. She will spend time listening to each patient to find out what is most important to them. She will personally design each treatment plan according to the individual to help them feel confident about how they look in a natural beautiful way.
