Top Surgery

Dr Joyce Aycock and her staff were an absolute joy to work with for my gender affirmation procedure. I recently came in for a small revision for a top surgery procedure I had in the Spring of 2021 and each visit was quick, easy, and immensely informative. Tracey and the rest of the staff were always so welcoming and kind, so I always felt comfortable walking into the office. Dr Aycock truly did a fantastic job for the first procedure, so there were only slight aesthetic fixes I wanted to revise. Given that it was an in office procedure under local anesthesia, I was a bit nervous going in, but Dr Aycock and her surgical assistant Kiana were amazing and quickly eased my nerves throughout the whole process. I truly can’t thank them all enough for helping me with this element of my medical transition and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a plastic surgeon and staff that truly cares for and listens to their patients!

Dr. Aycock and her team were absolutely incredible. She did my top-surgery and I could not be more pleased. She continued to mention results may not be perfect but she really did get as close to perfect as she could have. I was at a higher risk for complications and have experienced none. I’m truly surprised she’s not more well-known when it comes to top-surgeons. Also surprised at the amount of posts talking about poor bed-side manner. I don’t know about y’all but I came to her for results not a friendly conversation. And not only did I get mind-blowing results but she was incredibly friendly along with the rest of her team. She continued to check-in, made sure I was comfortable, and let me know I could contact her at any time for any reason. Anyone looking for a top-surgeon I would 100 percent recommend Dr. Aycock. The nipple placement was perfect and completely even, the incisions perfectly shaped my pectoral muscles, and I cannot wait to live out my future with a new freedom and absolutely no regrets. I had top surgery with Dr. Aycock May 2024. I could not be happier with my results. She and her team were professional and thoughtful throughout the entire process. She took my goals into account and delivered an excellent outcome. I am now over a year post-op and my incisions have healed well. My incisions and nipple grafts are largely symmetrical and I had no complications during the healing process. It can be challenging to find providers who are sympathetic and respectful to transgender individuals and Dr. Aycock made me feel welcome during the whole process. Many surgeons are not present in the operating room during induction but Dr. Aycock was present the entire time. She even made sure to massage the skin near my IV when anesthesia pushed the propofol. As a healthcare worker and patient, these small details are not something I forget and things that I take with me into my own practice. Thank you so much to Dr. Aycock and her team for taking such good care of me.

These guys were absolutely amazing. I had top surgery done with Dr. Aycock and it was genuinely the most wonderful experience. This was the first time I’ve ever had surgery before and they were so comforting and helpful through the whole process. Any time I had irrational anxiety about my recovery, they were always there to soothe my nerves and give me helpful advice. My recovery went so smoothly, like insanely smooth, thanks to Dr. Aycock and the team. I’m sooooo pleased with my results as well. One of the big things when I was shopping around for a surgeon was the results and they had some of the best. My scars are so thin, I know they’re going to heal wonderfully. I didn’t have to have drains as well, which took off like a whole week of recovery, so major win there! Being trans masculine can be pretty nerve wracking when it comes to medical stuff and they made it such a pleasurable experience. I cannot recommend them enough.

Dr. Aycock and her team were amazing to work with! Her team is so kind and outgoing. Every appointment went by like a breeze, all questions answered and very informative. Many insurances are accepted and operation scheduling is super easy! Unlike many other surgeons who have a long wait list spanning months to years, I was able to have my operation scheduled and done quickly! The new office is located in a wonderful area (Rose Medical Center) with free valet parking, a parking garage and off-street spots. Overall, I truly am happy that I picked Dr. Aycock to be the surgeon for my top surgery. I'm almost two months post-operation and now live each day to the fullest, my dysphoria/insecurities about my chest no longer plaguing me each day.

I had my top surgery (FTM) with Dr. Aycock this March. Everyone on the team made the process as smooth and comfortable as possible. Being my first surgery, I was a little anxious about it but Tracy, Kianna, and Dr. Aycock took the time to not only answer any questions I had, but give me a full run down of the process before, during, and after surgery. Any concerns or questions I had post-op, the team always had a quick response, and promptly got me in to the the doctor. Finding a surgeon for these kinds of procedures that also takes insurance can be tricky, but never did I feel like I was settling! I would absolutely recommend anyone to Dr. Aycock’s practice.

Dr. Aycock and her team are amazing. She completed my Top Surgery, and I am ecstatic with the results. She shaped me proportionally and evenly. Her office has always been accepting and respectful of my pronouns and name. They are always happy and fun when I come in too. Tracy is excellent as she helped me sort out a billing issue, which was extremely helpful as I was cash pay. The whole process has been easier and quicker than expected with her team. I'm grateful for all of them and glad they were part of my journey.

I am nonbinary and got top surgery with Dr. Aycock in September 2024. As a trans person I am so incredibly grateful for my experience with her and her team! Her staff was the best part of the experience, they were so kind and friendly and respectful. Dr. Ayock and her team made the whole process easy and comfortable, and on top of that, my results are incredible. Great nipple placement and great incision lines, and I was lucky to have such an easy healing experience as well. Anyone who is trans or nonbinary, I believe this is a great and safe place if you're looking to get top surgery.

Doctor Aycock did a wonderful job with my surgery. I had top surgery with her about a month ago and the results are great. The scars are symmetrical and I had no issues with my nipple grafts. She is personable and clearly cares about her patients outcomes. Her attention to detail is emphasized by her surgical results. Her communication style is straight forward and direct. Typically, I am not one to leave reviews, but I feel that the service and care I received with Dr. Aycock and her team was phenomenal.

Highly recommend Dr. Aycock’s services. I had FTM top surgery last March, and the process was simple and quick with Dr. Aycock and her incredible staff. Everyone from the initial consultation to the surgery itself was inclusive and gender affirming, and they all made working with my health insurance a breeze. Not only was the process simple, but the results are amazing! Dr. Aycock is the best at what she does.

Dr. Aycock performed a double mastectomy on my transgender son, and the results were amazing! Not to mention how supportive she and her staff were around this life-changing surgery. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
